Yamaha accepting orders for 2010 RED VMax

The 2010 VMax is available for order now at Yamaha dealerships.

Reintroduced in 2009, the VMax muscle bike returns in 2010 with a new candy red color scheme.

The 1,679cc four-valve DOHC liquid cooled engine is fuel injected, using the Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) technology and Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ride-by-wire control.

The chassis consists of a lightweight aluminum frame and swingarm. Suspension is provided by adjustable cartridge-damper-type front forks with titanium-coated 52mm inner tubes and a link-type Monocross rear shock.

Brembo master cylinders with 320mm discs and six-piston calipers up front and 29mm discs with single-piston calipers at the rear are incorporated into a three-position antilock brake system.

The VMax returns for 2010 with a new Candy Red color scheme.

Production of the 2010 VMax is limited but customers can purchase the muscle bike through Star Motorcycles’ priority delivery program. Priced at $19,500, the 2010 VMax will begin shipping in November.
